2025 Math Competitions

Townsvillites from P4 to P6 have the opportunity to participate in various national-level mathematics competitions, aimed at nurturing and recognising budding talents in primary schools.

In 2025, we celebrated our students’ accomplishments with pride, acknowledging their hard work, perseverance, and growth through various mathematics competitions.

• Raffles Mathematics Olympiad (RMO)
Nine students participated, achieving 1 Distinction and 8 Merit awards.

• National Mathematical Olympiad of Singapore (NMOS)
Twenty students participated, with 12 students receiving awards: 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 6 Bronze, and 4 Honourable Mentions. Townsville also achieved a remarkable milestone by ranking among the Top 20 schools in overall team performance.

• International Achievements
Li Yinxi (5E2) was selected to represent Singapore at the 22nd International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO 2025), held from 5–9 October in Kedah, Malaysia, where he attained a Gold award.
In addition, Yinxi received a Gold award at the Asia Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (APMOPS).
