P6 Study Break 2026

P6s: Rest during your 21-23 Sept study break to recharge for PSLE, 24-30 Sept.

Making the Most of Your Study Break: Rest, Recharge, and Refocus
As Primary 6 students step into their official study break from 21 to 23 September 2026, it is the perfect time to pause and reflect on a year of immense hard work. The final months of primary school are notoriously demanding, and this short window before the examinations is designed specifically to help students catch their breath. Rather than cramming every available hour with practice papers, this period is an opportunity to recharge both mentally and physically for the days ahead.
While light, targeted revision is useful for keeping the mind sharp, the primary focus during these three days must be well-being. Getting plenty of sleep, eating nutritious meals, and setting aside time for relaxing activities will do far more good than late-night studying. A tired brain struggles to recall information, so finding a healthy balance between reviewing notes and taking a well-deserved breather is the smartest strategy students can adopt right now.
Equally important is the role of parents during this crucial window. While the PSLE is undeniably the student’s own journey to navigate, the unwavering support of their family is the anchor that keeps them steady. Children often absorb the emotions of those around them, so parents can help most by fostering a calm, encouraging, and pressure-free home environment. A reassuring word, a listening ear, and gently ensuring they take their scheduled breaks can make a world of difference.
With the PSLE running from 24 September all the way to 30 September 2026, maintaining a calm and positive mindset is essential. These papers are simply a chance for students to demonstrate what they have learnt over the past six years, rather than a measure of their total worth. To all Primary 6 students: trust in your preparation, tackle each paper one day at a time, and remember that you are highly capable and ready to do your absolute best.
